The April–June 2026 edition of the Living Bread Missions Newsletter celebrates the seeds of the Gospel that are taking root and producing fruit across Ghana.
As Living Bread Missions continues to invest intentionally in evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership development, encouraging stories are emerging from the mission fields. The challenges remain real, but so is the harvest. The ministry gives thanks that no labour done for the Lord is wasted.
A Church Is Planted in Northern Ghana
One of the most encouraging stories comes from Nalerigu in Northern Ghana, where Bujeera has faithfully shared the Gospel after being trained as a disciple maker through the Lines Project.
Her commitment to sow the Word of God has resulted in a church with 64 members — 14 men, 16 women, and 34 children.
Although the congregation currently meets under trees, the believers remain strong in faith. Bujeera continues to disciple the church through Bible studies, intercessory prayer, and equipping believers.
The newsletter also reports testimonies of deliverance from addictions and transformed lives — evidence that the seeds being planted are bearing fruit.
Children Sowing Gospel Seeds in Klokpe
From April 6–12, LBM’s Children’s Ministry held a camp at Klokpe in the Volta Region.
The week combined Bible teaching with practical community outreach. Children and their teachers went throughout the community sharing the Gospel.
The results were encouraging:
- 298 people heard the Word of God
- 33 people gave their lives to Christ
The ministry is trusting God to cause these seeds to take root, bear fruit, and multiply.
Hilltop Assembly and Mission Farm Continue to Grow
Another encouraging development is taking place at Hilltop Assembly in the Afadjato District of the Volta Region.
After seasons of hard work, the church now has a permanent place of worship under construction. This represents an important step forward for the congregation and its ministry in the community.
At the same time, the LBM Mission Farm is expanding. A new structure is being constructed to support increased agricultural operations involving mango, coconut, and rice cultivation.
These developments are strengthening the mission work in the area and giving the ministry renewed hope even in the midst of challenges.
Friends and Partners’ Day Celebration
The second quarter of 2026 also brought together ministers and mission partners for a time of reflection and fellowship.
The meetings focused on important aspects of the mission and the disciple-making process, culminating on 30 May 2026 with a Business Seminar held as part of the Friends and Partners’ Day celebration.
These gatherings provide opportunities to strengthen relationships, reflect on the mission, and encourage continued partnership in advancing the Gospel.
The Harvest From Previous Seeds
The Gospel continues to reach communities through trained teams conducting film outreaches in both Southern and Northern Ghana. These efforts form part of LBM’s commitment to seeing the Gospel proclaimed among the nations in fulfillment of Matthew 24:14.
Another encouraging example is the Fulani School.
The school continues to grow, with teachers seeking to prepare children for the future through a holistic approach to education. The impact is extending beyond the children themselves, as Fulani parents are increasingly becoming involved in their children’s education and future.
Some parents are even encouraging and supporting the school staff in practical ways. LBM asks supporters to continue praying for this important ministry.
No Labour in the Lord Is Wasted
The stories in this edition remind us that ministry is often about planting seeds faithfully and trusting God for the harvest.
A disciple maker investing in one community, children sharing the Gospel during a camp, a church growing under a tree, missionaries developing sustainable ministry projects, and teachers investing in children may all seem like small steps.
But God can take those seeds and cause them to produce abundant fruit.
The central message of this newsletter is therefore both simple and encouraging:
Keep sowing. Keep discipling. Keep going.
The harvest belongs to God.
